Laurie Laird-Trandum, M.Ed
Laurie is a graduate of Brigham Young University’s secondary education program and has a master’s degree in educational counseling. She taught junior high and high school in Utah public schools for 16 years, followed by serving as the Education Director of a Residential Treatment Center for adolescent females for 15 years. Laurie trains and conducts workshops on learning styles, trauma and the brain, social skill development and learning differences at both regional and national conferences. Laurie is special education certified and is currently finishing her school administrative license at Southern Utah University. Laurie has served as a faculty member at the University of Phoenix, teaching in the Master level Special Education program and the Mathematics Department. Laurie had the role of Principal at Discovery Academy, Provo, Utah for 2.5 years and now has the pleasure of being the Academic Director at Discovery Ranch for Boys. Laurie and her husband have eight children between the two of them and are the proud grandparents of three beautiful and active toddlers.
