Family Services Coordinator
Jake never thought that working with troubled teens would become one of his greatest passions. He graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Music with High Distinction from the Center for Advancement of Leadership in 2012. He began working at Discovery Ranch during his last semester part-time and fell in love with the program. Making a difference in the lives of others is what Jake loves to do most. He changed from the medical school and becoming a doctor to working with troubled adolescents and has loved every minute of it. Jake is considered the go-to guy here at the ranch. You will see him doing anything from running our New Music/Tech Center, organizing and directing the triannual Parent Days Program, taking pictures, onboarding new parents, or assisting the admissions and research team. Music has been a huge part of his life. He started singing and playing the piano as a young child and has now been teaching music on the side since 2003 in his own music studio. Jake loves traveling the world, baking incredible desserts, spending time with his niece and nephews and eating good food!
