Special Ed
Serving students with special learning challenges is an integral part of our fully accredited academic program. Discovery Ranch has successfully guided many students through high school completion and assisted in the transition to college, vocational training, and employment.
We offer comprehensive academic services for students who qualify for individualized instruction due to mild/moderate learning disabilities, ADHD, Emotional Disturbances, behavioral disorders, processing disorders, executive functioning disorders, and others.
Discovery Ranch provides appropriate academic support and structure based on the student’s current Individualized Education Plan (IEP), 504 Plan, or psychological evaluation recommendations.
Parents can consult with our academic director to design the appropriate curriculum for their child. This learning plan meets the Utah State Core Curriculum for high school graduation.
With an average of twelve students per class, personalized, one-on-one instruction helps students master content without “slipping through the cracks.” Teachers have the flexibility to meet each student’s specific learning challenges and monitor their progress.
Students pursue their educational goals in a stimulating environment that empowers them to more fully develop and strengthen their own individuality and skills.
